The 2nd season of Nikita has just ended. Nikita will return in January.
What Nikita is about:
Nikita is basically the new version of the old series Le Femme Nikita with a new take on the series. It's the story of ex-Division agent Nikita trying to take down Division with the help of Michael and Birkhoff.
What happened in Season 1 -
In the first season Nikita and her inside partner Alex work together to bring down Division operations. This is of course never easy because Nikita is the constantly hunted by Michael; the Division agent who trained her. Alex graduates from recruit to agent and even though she is free still helps Nikita in Division's take down. By the end of the season Michael becomes a rouge agent and joins Nikita. Coincidentally, Alex and Nikita end the season on opposite sides of the war.

What happened in Season 2 -
When season 2 starts Nikita and Michael are a couple :) and team up with Birkhoff, another agent who has left Division to hunt down the black boxes that Percy has made. Percy, who is rightfully the end of Division is "imprisoned" and has been overthrown by his second in command Amanda. Alex, who is no longer a Division agent but works for herself is now helping Division hunt Nikita as an exchange for resources to go after a personal target; the man who betrayed her father and is running a multimillion dollar co-operation that is rightfully hers.
