What Switched at Birth is about:

This is the story of two teenage girls who were switched at birth by the hospital. One of them; Bay, grows up with a very rich family, both parents and a brother. The other one; Daphne, is deaf and has grown up with a single mother.

The family learns about the hospital's mistake. They meet each other for the first time.

Daphne and her mother Regina have moved in with Bay and her family. Everyone has to adjust to the new life. Bay learns about her family history and Daphne spends time with her new friend Liam.

Bay is curious about her birth father and starts asking questions.

Buckner Hall holds a fund-raiser where everyone is stressed out. Bay finds out that Liam and Daphne are dating and we see that Emmett likes Daphne (if you didn't already realize). Everyone is stressed out in this episode.

Bay's secret boyfriend Ty is invited over for dinner and Toby gets into some poker problems.

Daphne has problems at her new school. Bay and Emmett get close as he helps her do research on her father.
